West Fork has partnered with Stillwater Sciences to monitor the potential fish entrainment at Robbs Peak Powerhouse to determine when and at what flow fish migration is occurring, and at what flow entrainment, if any, is occurring. West Fork was tasked with designing, integrating and deploying a series of PIT tag arrays to detect fish movement within the forebay, intake and the South Fork Rubicon.

In the fall of 2015 West Fork installed 10 antennas to detect fish movement within the intake structure area, many of these antennas were deployed using non-traditional methods to best utilize the infrastructure in place. Data collection and monitoring is through satellite communications to ensure the operation and maintenance of these arrays is maintained at a high level. West Fork has worked on many projects like this with power utilities when the utility is going through a FERC relicensing.
