West Fork was contracted to construct eleven custom PIT antennas installed at the Mud Mountain Dam fish collection facility on the White River. Nine were designed with specifications set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Kiewit to be installed into rectangular slots in the fish ladder weir walls, and two were custom designed for the visual sort flumes. The recessed slots in the fish ladder allow the antennas to be removed and interchanged whenever necessary. The antenna coils underwent rigorous testing at our facility to ensure maximum functionality and PIT tag detection capabilities before being fully fabricated. The fish ladder antennas are reinforced with fiberglass resin for added strength and a smooth outer surface for fish passage.  The visual sort flume antennas are integrated into the FRP flume with no hydraulic impact.
