West Fork partnered with CREST to install a PIT array at the mouth of Megler Creek near Astoria, OR. A new bridge was installed at the highway 401 crossing and the PIT array was installed to monitor fish passage and use of the fresh water source. Three antennas are installed to detect PIT tagged fish as they move in and out of the creek. A 25’ X 6’ antenna is installed right at the upstream side of the bridge and covers the entire bridge opening. Two more 15’ x 3’ antennas are installed further upstream.
